Chicago Center for HIV Elimination (CCHE) at the University of Chicago is a resource for programs and services directly related to eliminating new HIV transmission events, and is particularly dedicated to serving communities on Chicago’s South Side. CCHE’s programs facilitate increased HIV testing in several community-based organizations and hospital emergency rooms, and also provide social support services to members of the local community through the University of Chicago’s clinics and partner agencies. A number of CCHE’s new projects also promote awareness and accessibility of HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and facilitate the linkage of HIV negative individuals into PrEP care.
