The purpose of the Advisory Council for Women and LGBT Community Members is:

To advise the Mayor and City Council on policy matters regarding civil rights with a focus on equal access to employment, housing, and public accommodations, and to help identify means to educate the public about Chicago’s Human Rights and Fair Housing Ordinances, which offer protections against discrimination and hate crimes.

If you are a resident of the City of Chicago, are a member of the women’s or LGBT communities, and can serve as a liaison to your respective community, please contact Ken Gunn.
