Exploring one’s gender presentation in a binary gender culture can be difficult enough, and it can be an even greater challenge to physically express one’s true gender identity. This process is often complicated by layers of guilt and shame about one’s genuine gender expression, leading to isolation, and potentially interfering with a sense of belonging both in the LGBTQI community and society in general.

Our Gender Experience group is designed to provide a sense of community in a safe space wherein clients may openly explore their gender identity and express themselves in ways their current lives may not allow. Participants practice communication skills, identifying and asserting their needs, and building meaningful relationships, all of which facilitate improved self-esteem and confidence in authentic gender expression.
