Gendernauts is a supportive group for youth who are exploring a gender identity or expression that transcends traditional stereotypes, blends or breaks the gender binary, or otherwise pushes normative ideas about gender. This dynamic group welcomes those who identify as transgender (male-to-female; female-to-male), androgynous, gender non-conforming, gender-queer, or those teens who are simply questioning their gender.

Topics may include:

-Coming out (or not) as trans or gender non-conforming
-Negotiating experiences at school with peers, teachers, & administrators
-Building supportive family relationships with parents/guardians, siblings, & extended family members related to gender
-Dialogue around using preferred names & gender pronouns—and experiences of getting others onboard
-Traversing dating & romantic relationships
-Exploring feelings about body image and expressing gender through clothing & other style choices
-Navigating sex-segregated spaces like bathrooms, locker rooms, & team sports
-Additional topics to be determined by group participants!
